ECLIPSE by Stephenie Meyer

ECLIPSE by Stephenie Meyer
Bella and Edward-the dashing vampire are back again in another installment of Stephenie’s addicting Twilight Saga. Eclipse opens up with the reunion of Bella and Edward who had gone through tortuous parting in NEW MOON. Though in this book Bella’s eventual transformation into a blood sucking immortal is now guaranteed but Jacob, the American werewolf who wants to win Bella all over for himself will not let that happen so easily. Meanwhile, the vengeful vampire Victoria is still out to get Bella and the Seattle is ravaged by a plague of mysterious killings.
Between all this Bella has to make a most difficult decision of her life when she has to choose between her lover Edward and her best friend Jacob. But the readers will be impressed when ancient enemies, vampires and werewolves join forces to protect Bella and the town of Seattle from vampires.

Meyer knows what her fans want and she delivers that on all counts. Her book offers plenty of thrills, chills and romantic drama to entertain her fans. Those teens who don’t consider themselves readers may also find themselves racing through this long romantic fantasy. Though the book is slow at the beginning with the first few chapters stifled with the issues of jealousy which develop very slowly but the plot picks up steam with the tensions of love and romance between Jacob and Bella. Despite its shortcomings ECLIPSE is an absorbing read that managed to become the 4Th bestselling Book of 2008 and was on rank one on Publisher’s weekly list of “Best Selling Hardcover Back list Children’s Books” in 2008 with over 4.5 million copies sold.
All those readers who enjoy reading moody fantasy romance will find the book extremely interesting and will appreciate author’s writing style that makes them turning pages even when there is nothing much happening in the story. Readers get so engrossed in the characters of the story that they will touch places deep inside themselves. It’s not just about the Bella or Edward but every other character will capture reader’s attention.
